L.O.U.D. Runners Youth Running Program

Our program uses lessons, running activities, and instructional materials developed by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) specifically for young runners to introduce them to running and make the sport a part of their healthy lifestyle.

Kids Run the Nation (KRTN) is a gender inclusive, multi-week, youth running program designed to meet the physical activity goals outlined by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Through this program, the RRCA’s vision is to help establish locally managed, youth running programs in every elementary, middle, and high school in the country, including Hillsborough County.

We offer this free program to Hilsborough county Title 1 elementary and middle schools. There is no fee for the children to participate in this program which is funded by LOUD Runners and other generous donors. Every child that participates receives a t-shirt, snacks, supplies, and a finisher’s medal after completing their one-mile race.

You can help us fund this program by donating below or by purchasing kids running gear from our store.

If you are a principal or teacher at a Hillsborough County Title 1 school and interested in learning more about the program, click on “learn more” below and complete the form to get more information about this fantastic program.
