Let's get LOUD in Ybor! We'll have our choice of positions including race-day registration/packet pick-up; help maintaining the park with trash etc.; water station volunteers, greeters, and of course an unofficial LOUD Cheer Station. The hours differ for each position with race-day registration opening at 5 PM and the race starting at 7 PM. If the park clean-up crew stays on top of trash, they typically finish clean-up before 10 PM.
High school aged children may volunteer for this event but if you want to bring younger kids, please plan on participating in an unofficial race cheer station.
“Richard’s Run for Life” 5K Race, which is part of the Gonzmart Family Foundation — a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization — was created by Columbia Restaurant President Richard Gonzmart as a way to combine his love for running with his long-time desire to find a cure for cancer.
One hundred percent of every dollar donated and raised will benefit the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program for sarcoma research and the Advanced Prostate Cancer Collaboration (APCC) at Moffitt Cancer Center.
We will provide more details about the positions needed as the event gets closer. Go to the event in our Facebook group to register your desire to help.
